He was just a lonely skullopus, looking for love in the vast wilderness of American suburbia. Through trashcans and flower-gardens he slithered, dreaming of the day he might caress the slimy, loving tentacles of another of his kind.
One day while making his way through a patch of gardenias, he happened across a colorful poster which had blown out of a nearby dumpster. It smelled like coffee-grounds, beer-bottles, sardines, and vomit. Not only was it a wonderful aroma, but the artwork depicted another creature very much like himself! Surely this was a sign, he thought. Having studied English as a younger skullopus, he was able to make out the words. It was some sort of an advertisement. For a concert, perhaps? This Saturday! Dachshund, Desi & Cody, and David Castro Band take the stage at Vanguard. Catch 3 of Tulsa’s best bands at a fab new venue! That’s right, I said “fab.” I am bringing that adjective back, specifically to describe The Vanguard. It is the “fabbest.” New word!
Come fill your ears with some of the best sounds T-Town has to offer! This is an 18+ show, and there is a bar.

Hunt Club, Friday April 13!
Climb out of your winter cave and enjoy the fine prog-pop/math-rock sounds of Dachshund and Sometimes Mongoose! (Insert a very clever joke about the animal-name doubleheader here.)
It’s at the Hunt Club, it’s on a Friday, it’s free to get in, and… oh, a newborn lamb will be offered up as sacrifice to the gods of the planting season. What more could you ask for?
Dachshund is playing this Tuesday (3/20) at Crystal Pistol! We’ll be opening for 3 bands from Ventura, CA who are on their way to back home from SXSW. It’s all part of the Crystal Pistol’s “Get-A-Long” concert series. It’s a free show, we’ll be on around 9, and there’ll be 3 other bands to follow! Come out, drink up, have a good time! It’s a fine way to spend a Spring Break evening.
